Fusion to Spare Tens of Thousands CZK

INEKON GROUP is in the process of simplifying the organizational structure of the holding. All railroad transportation activities are now centralized under the controlling company. The fusion of INEKON GROUP, a.s., KOLEJOVÁ DOPRAVA, s.r.o., and INEKON TRAMS, a.s. has been registered in the Commercial Register. The goal of the fusion is cost reduction and unification in areas that follow each other immediately.

"The fusion will unite research, production and trade in one company. This way, we will be able to make use of tax allowances granted to production companies with in-house research and development. Until now, research and development was the domain of the construction and design company KOLEJOVÁ DOPRAVA that, unfortunately, was not allowed to take use of tax allowances," told Ing. Josef Hušek, Director General and Chairman of the INEKON GROUP, a. s.,a dodal:"The changes will save us approximately 10 million crowns."

The fusion of three INEKON companies will cause no employee firing. The employees of both former subsidiaries will become employees of INEKON GROUP, a.s. and their rights and job specifications remain untouched. KOLEJOVÁ DOPRAVA will change into Construction Department. INEKON TRAMS will change into Production Department. Its chairman of the board and director general Ing. Josef Dvořák will be appointed technical and commercial director of INEKON GROUP.

INEKON GROUP will take over from INEKON TRAMS the technical premises in Ostrava – Martinov where the company has worked on most of its contracts for new trams or their modernization.
